This was the 1st time I've used Zanes Law. It was a fantastic experience for having to go through a situation most would rather not. The attorney and staff were always available to answer my questions and explained things clearly and were obviously 100% in my corner. My attorney, Jim, was very genuine and made me immediately comfortable when I came in to speak with him about my case. Every case manager I dealt with was patient and helpful. I would definitely return to Zanes should the time ever come again that I need a personal injury firm.

Hello! As client of Zane law I was recently involved in accident last September and my recovery is still healing but Zane law checked on me and made sure everything was going smoothly and made sure I was on the right step every single time. I definitely would used them again ! They have helped my recovery so much and being a mom of 6 it has made my days a little more better/easier! From chiropractor to message therapist and making sure I had that extra help like trauma counseling to get through my days! I thank you so much Rachel and Annabelle!

car accident

Zanes Law was a terrific legal experience. I first went to a law firm that only wanted me to go to physical therapy and pad the bill, so they could utilize my insurance policy to its capacity. Once I went to Zanes, they were honest, professional and prompt with calls almost once a week. Sometimes I got a call just because we did not have contact for close to two weeks. Some calls were to just ask how I was doing. I also received more money than originally discussed. Great job Zanes Law!!!!! If need be I will use their services again. THANKS

Why do Daycare Accidents Occur?

Residents in Arizona currently face the dilemma of being in a childcare desert in which there are more children than there are childcare providers. This affects a child’s ability to attend safe childcare facilities in Phoenix and its neighboring cities like Scottsdale, Tempe, and Glendale.

With a lack of licensed child care, there are a variety of reasons as to why a child might experience a severe injury while in daycare, such as:

  • Falls
  • Instances of choking and swallowing objects
  • Crushed fingers or hands inside doors
  • Consuming toxic products
  • Unsafe tools or practices
  • Significant allergic reactions
  • Bathroom mishaps
  • Fights and risky play
  • Burn injuries
  • Speculation or warning signs of child abuse (bruises, scratches, drastic change in behavior, nightmare, etc.)

Usually, children in daycare are too little to express themselves clearly if they are being abused. Parents must take warning indications of unexplained injuries or behavioral abnormalities extremely seriously and contact a daycare accident lawyer in Phoenix immediately.

Safety Requirements for Phoenix Daycare Centers

The Arizona Child Care Health and Safety Policy Manual goes into detail on the security policy for child care establishments. It states that:

  1. All employees must undergo background checks before being permitted on the premises when children are present.
  2. The facility’s entrances must be monitored by a staff member and kept closed from the outside but quickly accessed from the inside in case of emergency.
  3. Outdoor play areas must be planned with simple access from the street in mind, both in terms of layout and placement. To help stop kids from leaving without an adult, they must be secured by fences with gates.
  4. Every person entering or leaving the facility must follow sign-in/sign-out procedures and record their name, contact information, arrival and departure times, and the reason they are there.
  5. To identify the people who drop off and pick up children, as well as their times of arrival and departure, daily attendance records must be kept.
  6. The kid’s caregiver or teacher must get in touch with the parent or guardian within an hour of the delayed arrival if a parent or guardian has not informed the facility that the child will be absent.
  7. Staff must be informed about custody court orders or issues, copies of which must be retained in a file.
  8. No one who does not have parental or guardian consent to pick up the child may be given access to the child.
  9. All classrooms and play areas must undergo a daily indoor safety inspection. Any dangerous situations must be resolved by the staff or reported to the director.
  10. Preschoolers, young children, and infants must always be directly observed and heard. Children of school age must always be in the line of sight or hearing of a staff member.
  11. If somebody exhibits dangerous conduct, staff must have a mechanism to signal for assistance.
