Speeding May Have Caused Motorcyclist’s Death

Any crash involving a motorcycle can cause serious injuries or even death. The chance of getting into an accident can increase significantly anytime someone engages in risky behavior. Such behavior may include traveling at the posted speed limit or choosing not to wear a helmet or other protective gear. Other dangers of the road motorcyclists potentially face may consist of hidden road hazards like debris on the roadway or other motorists not seeing them. The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) reported that in 2017, there were 2907 motorcycle crashes in our state. In those crashes, 261 motorcycle drivers or their passengers were killed with 2,413 others who were injured in that year.
