Do you remember that time you wanted a dog so badly you would do anything to get one?
Maybe you have a child begging you right now for that “cute little puppy, oh please! PLEASE!”
Do you remember when you finally got that perfect dog? That wonderful, furry companion that filled your life with joy?
Sure the kids don’t always feed him or maybe she doesn’t always get walked in the mornings like the they PROMISED they would (*insert parent eye rolling here*)
But the wonderful, elated feeling of being greeted at the door every time everyone piles through the door after school and work…
And all those Sunday morning licks and cuddles with the kiddos squished between mom and dad…
Those times… They make up for all the times you pick up poop and muddy, soapy baths, etc (even though the kids promised *more eye rolling*) …

Dog bites are often recounted as those that happen by the random, rabid dog on the loose in the neighborhood…
Maybe it’s the neighbor’s dog or a friend’s dog…
But not OUR dog… the family dog… our loving, sweet dog…
In a powerful video, posted by the Dogington Post, it describes the story of the child loving it’s dog and all the fun activities they did together – playing, napping, dress – up, swinging, and so on…
But then the video has a voice over of what is portrayed as the dog’s perspective…
How the dog is trying to be on its best behavior through the activities it doesn’t necessarily wish to participate in….

Pretty powerful, huh?
As the video states, 77% of dog bites come from a family or friend’s dog i.e. a dog who is very much familiar to the human.
The dog often doesn’t bite out of nowhere…
In fact, it comes from frustration…
