Rollover accidents can be both terrifying and deadly. Drivers who have survived a rollover crash report feeling a sense of helplessness because of a complete loss of control. Rollover accidents, more than any other type of automobile crash, can cause severe injuries including head and neck trauma or even death.
Many believe such accidents only happen to vehicles with high centers of gravity, however, any vehicle has the potential to roll over if conditions are right. News Station KOLD in Tucson reports on a rollover crash that happened in Pima County on Sunday. The crash involved a pickup truck and left three men injured.
Investigators with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department say the crash happened at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Sunday on McGee Ranch Road. Green Valley Fire District also responded to the call which was reported near Elams Loop.
Emergency crews found the 20-year-old driver and another 19-year-old man who had been riding in the bed of the pickup truck had suffered only minor injuries.

A third person, a 16-year-old male who was riding as a passenger inside the cab of the pickup sustained life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Banner – University Medical Center Tucson for treatment. A spokesperson for the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said that the teen is now listed in stable condition.
The crash is still currently under investigation. Pima County Sheriff’s investigators believe that speed and impairment may have played a role in the rollover crash.
