According to a report appearing on the ABC 15 in Phoenix website, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver, Jermiah Braswell, was arrested in Ohio after he crashed his vehicle into Lake Erie Saturday. Law enforcement noted that alcohol was a factor in the crash.
A spokesperson for the Put-in-Bay Police Department said in a statement that officers were called to Conlan Road on South Bass Island in the Put-in-Bay Township after receiving a report from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
Police officers arrived on the scene to find that a Chevrolet Camaro had driven off an embankment and into the water. Eyewitnesses say that the driver of the Camaro was traveling at a high rate of speed when he drove off the roadway and over a grassy area. Still driving at high speed, Braswell ended up in the water.
Police officers found the driver still inside the car, attempting to drive the vehicle. The driver, identified as Cardinals rookie wide receiver, Jermiah Braswell, told officers he was stuck but didn’t know what had happened.
