Woman Records Herself Driving Drunk on Periscope

We wish we could tell you this is a just a sick joke but alas someone may finally get the prize for “Most Reckless Driver/Person EVER”…

23-year-old Whitney Beall of Lakeland, Florida was driving home drunk on Saturday night, and broadcasted her ride LIVE on Periscope…

For those of you unfamiliar with this streaming mechanism – Periscope is enables you to “go live” via your mobile device anytime and anywhere. The app lets you become your own “on the go” broadcasting station, streaming video and audio to any viewers who join your broadcast…

In this case, Beall decided to use it to broadcast driving home while extremely intoxicated…

The worst part (besides the fact that she is drunk driving and putting herself and others in danger?)

She wasn’t trying to hide it.

She announces her episode on Periscope by inviting people to join her on her journey home, stating and we quote:

“I’m driving home drunk.  Let’s see if I get a DUI.  In the U.S.A., people!  Let’s see if I can get a DUI.  I don’t think I will.  I really don’t.”

Well since thousands, if not millions of people have viewed the video by now… our guess is she WRONG.

In fact, several people called 911 to report her, and a cop in Lakeland went onto the Periscope app to track Beall down.

By the time the officer caught up with Beall she had  already blown out a tire by hitting a sign…

Pulling her over wasn’t graceful either as she tried to pull over and instead  hopped a curb…

Beall was arrested for drunk driving… Who would have thought?

Certainly not Beall as she was recorded saying:

“I really don’t want to get a ticket . . . a DUI costs so much more than what I’m worth.”

We can definitely agree to the “worth” part of that statement.

If you are thinking about drinking and driving, PLEASE DON’T. If you see activity of this nature on an social media app (in real time) please report it by calling 911 immediately.
