Tucson, Ariz. (Feb. 18, 2014) – Zanes Law is taking its message of unmatched representation in injury law to the streets of Tucson in the largest transit advertising campaign the city has ever seen. Fifty Sun Tran buses will hit the streets this week, carrying several advertising messages from Zanes Law.
“We think the community will respond very positively to the Zanes Law buses because they are creative and eye-catching,” said Bradley C. Smith, market manager for Tucson with Lamar Advertising, which was awarded a five year contract by the city for bus and trolley advertising. “Based on how we’ve seen how well people in Tucson react to transit advertising, we think Zanes Law and transi advertising is a recipe for success.”

Tucsonans will recognize a familiar face on some of the Zanes Law buses: the firm’s non-lawyer co-founder, Claudia Zanes, who is married to co-founder Doug Zanes, the firm’s CEO/Responsible Attorney. Claudia Zanes’ marketing knowledge, business management and deep community ties have been essential to growing Zanes Law. In only 11 years, the firm has come to the forefront of Arizona’s competitive legal market, growing from a single-attorney, three-staff firm to three offices in Tucson, two offices in Phoenix and more than 40 employees.
“We grew by steadily keeping the Zanes name visible in the community,” Claudia Zanes said. “People know us, whether it’s from our TV ads or our billboards. I’m constantly searching for new ways to communicate with people, to let them know that we’re here when they need us. It’s exciting to transform our outdoor campaign from stationary boards to messaging that will travel all over the city.”
“Transit advertising is something that Sun Tran had been doing on a limited basis before Lamar came on board at the latter part of last year,” Smith said. “Nothing has come close to the scale of the new Zanes Law campaign.
“Tucson is a great place for transit advertising as most of the driving is on surface streets,” Smith said. “People are spending more and more time in their cars and unlike billboards, transit advertising is at the consumers’ eye level – they can’t miss it.”
The bus wraps, as they are commonly called, are made of heat-resistant 3M vinyl, Smith said. The vinyl that covers windows is perforated, so passengers can see through the windows, but the advertising on the outside is still intact as an image.
“We tell people to think of the bus as their canvas to fill with their own creative message,” Smith said. “Zanes brings new creativity to its successful and unforgettable phone number, 777-7777.”
