Most bikers agree that the view from the open road is even more spectacular seeing the beauties of this country, particularly in the state of Arizona, from the back of a motorcycle. However, because motorcyclists and their passengers are more exposed to the dangers of the road, what might be a minor fender bender in any other vehicle, can turn into a deadly crash.
That seems to have been what happened in Phoenix on Saturday, October 12th, in the late afternoon. The Arizona Family reported on its website that the crash occurred between a motorcyclist and a Chevy Silverado pickup truck at approximately 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of 19th Avenue and Glendale Avenue.

A spokesperson for the Phoenix Police Department said in a statement that the motorcyclist, who was riding a KTM Dual Sport motorcycle, was traveling eastbound when he entered the intersection and passed another vehicle. During the pass, the motorcyclist then slammed into the Silverado pickup truck that was making a left turn.
Emergency crews were called to the scene. Investigators pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene of the accident. Authorities have identified the victim as 26-year-old Ronald Osterman.
Osterman had been wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The 69-year-old male driver of the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck stayed at the scene of the fatal crash. Police have determined that impairment was not a factor in the deadly accident.
The accident is still currently under investigation.
