Starting off the Week Right with a little bit of Zanes love and a lot of Motivation!
March 2, 2015
Mondays often get a bad reputation. If something goes ary, if we wake up on the wrong side of the bed, if our sandwich is made wrong (“I said NO tomatoes!”), if the traffic is a little heavier and we are already late for work…
Well…
We knew it! Darn it! It’s Monday. For some of us the work week begins and not always at our dream job.
But the point of this post is not to prolong the dreaded, perceived nature of manic Mondays but rather to inspire a new thought and a new movement around starting off the week strong and successful. The quote above by New York Time’s #1 Best Selling Author, Brendon Burchard,
“”rant me the strength to focus this week…”
is seen as a declaration for many to begin a new week with a renewed sense of vigor and discipline (hence the focus). Here at Zanes Law we know that you all have busy lives with families, endless errands, a household to maintain and so much more. What we want for you this week is the discipline of focus on what matters – let the little things go this week.
Focus on the good. Focus on the great. Focus on what matters to YOU this week.
In turn, that focus, that commitment to discipline, creates a sense of mindfulness and presentness that often gets sidelined for other distractions ….
“To be mindful and present…”
How about that time you drove all the way to your destination, only to “wake up” and realize you didn’t really know how you got there… “autopilot” you think and you shiver at the lack of memory you possess… “What street did I even take to get here?” “How long was I driving?”
This week be mindful and present and the day will be a sharp, clear picture rather than a blur.
“To serve with excellence…”
If we start the week off already limiting it to its socially constructed, often negative label of “Monday” then we are already cutting short our ability to serve with excellence.
Here at Zanes we believe that no matter what you are doing, you must show up 100%. Whether you are serving a client (happy or angry) or opening a claim, show up 100%!

In other words, bring your A game to the table even if you think the task is mundane. Challenge yourself to rise to the occasion as if it is your most certain duty. It is a wise known saying that “how you do anything, is how you do everything.” So if it’s starting on those taxes or managing a more difficult customer, serve with excellence and show up 100% because when it really does matter, you’ll be primed to succeed!
And above all –
“To be a force of love”
For those of you recoiling a bit, this doesn’t mean standing on the corner with a “free hugs” sign.
Being a force of love means giving more than taking this week. Give in kind words, give in gratitude and smiles. Give in laughter. Give in forgiveness. Give a little extra at the gym. Call up a friend and let them know you are thinking of them. Tell the people you do love, you love them!
Love comes in many forms and when we exercise it as givers, it is a force to be reckoned with!
Mondays often get a bad reputation but not this Monday! Go forth and conquer!
