Ep #66: Periscope Drunk Driving Video

Ep #66: Periscope Drunk Driving Video

On this episode of Zanes Law Personal Injury Legal Tips, your host, Casey Hamm, talks about a disturbing Periscope drunk driving video that is going viral- a recording of a Periscope stream of a drunk Florida woman driving.

23-year-old Whitney Beall of Lakeland, Florida decided to broadcast her drive home LIVE for the whole world to see on social media. Luckily, no one was injured in the process and the police pulled her over and arrested her for driving under the influence. Listen in as Casey talks about and shares the details of this disturbing video.

This video is the prime example of extreme recklessness and absolute loss of judgment when someone’s under the influence of alcohol.

If you are thinking about drinking and driving, please call a cab or an Uber. When you’re driving drunk, you’re not only endangering your life but also the lives of other innocent people.

Ep #59: Arizona Accident Statistics

Most often, people think that the most accidents occur when there is alcohol and drugs are involved, during night time when visibility is greatly reduced, or during dangerous weather conditions such as rain and snow. Although that may be partially the case, contrary to the popular belief, most car accidents happen during no special conditions in broad daylight.

On this episode of Zanes Law Personal Injury Legal Tips, we discuss some general Arizona accident statistics that may really shock you. Listen in to discover when most accidents happen – what time of day, week, and month of the year, different conditions and other defining factors – so you can be prepared and protect yourself and your family on the roads of Arizona.

Ep #58: Red Light Accidents

Ep #58: Red Light Accidents

If you’re from Phoenix, Arizona or if you have ever traveled there, you have most likely experienced the constant sense of rush on the roads of the city.  According to National Public Radio, Phoenix is the second most dangerous city in the United States for red light accidents and running red lights. The second a streetlight turns red, you can always count on at least a couple of cars running it.

Between the years of 2007 and 2013, 127 people have died in Phoenix solely because someone ran a red light. The pain the drivers, passengers and their families go through because of someone else’s negligence is horrific. If you are a driver in Arizona, please do yourself and others a favor and leave a few minutes early when you’re going to your destination. If everyone else thinks this way, the accident rate can be reduced to a minimum and many lives can be saved in the process.

Ep #57: Teacher Shortage in Arizona

Ep #57: Teacher Shortage in Arizona

On this episode of Zanes’ Law Personal Injury Legal Tips, we’re covering a serious issue in Arizona as a whole. A teacher shortage in Arizona. Sadly, the teachers in Arizona are not getting proper support in terms of funding, resources and salaries. As a result, many of them are fleeing the state because they are unable to support themselves and their families on their extremely low salaries. According to the statistics, in 2014-2015 school year, 74% of schools districts in Arizona had 1 in 5 open positions.

As you may know from our previous episodes and blog posts, we, at Zanes Law, are a huge support system for local teachers in Tucson, Arizona. We would like to thank all of the amazing teachers who have stuck through these hard times and haven’t left their students.
