Widow Offers A $50,000 For Anyone With Information About A Hit-And-Run Incident That Killed Her Late Husband

A woman in Tempe is offering a $50,000 of her own money as a reward for anyone who can help her find the hit-and-run driver that killed her husband on US Highway 60 on the afternoon of Monday, March 2nd.

ABC 15 in Phoenix reports that 49-year-old Michael Trousdale died after he was struck and killed on his way to work riding his motorcycle.  The deadly crash closed the eastbound lanes of the highway temporarily to evening traffic.

Department of Public Safety officials initially said that they were in search of a white vehicle, and Riggio offered up her own money, hoping for a break in the case.  The deadly crash is still currently under investigation.  On Wednesday, March 4th, however, DPS announced that they are no longer looking for any other vehicles as they have new information regarding the case.

Authorities have yet released any further details about the case or others who might have been involved in the crash.

Trousdale was a US military veteran who loved to ride motorcycles, loved a good joke, and adored his family. His widow is now hoping that she can finally find out what happened to her husband on Monday.

Trousdale’s wife, Heather Riggio, told ABC’s Mike Pelton that she’s devastated and that she didn’t believe her husband was ready to go. “We talked about dying at 65, 75,” Riggio said.
