A Car Crash Involving An SUV And A Sedan Leaves A 10-Year Old Girl And Several Teenagers With Injuries

A sudden, horrific multi-car crash on Thursday morning has left a 10-year-old girl and several teenagers seriously injured.

The AZ Family reports on its website that the accident happened in the areas of Central Avenue and Northern Avenue in Phoenix on Thursday, February 20th, at approximately 7:30 A.M.

A spokesperson for the Phoenix Police Department said in a statement to reporters that they received calls of a collision in the area involving vehicles. One of the vehicles, a black passenger car, was heading southbound on Central Avenue. It was reported that the vehicle was attempting to turn left onto Northern Avenue. Suddenly, the vehicle was broadsided by an SUV that was heading northbound on Central.

The woman who was driving the black sedan did not suffer any injuries in the crash; however, the two passengers, a 16-year-old girl and a 10-year-old girl, suffered serious injuries. Fortunately, the police officials say that neither of the girls’ injuries were considered life-threatening.

The three people in the SUV ranged in age from 16 to 18 years of age. All three people, the driver and the passengers, inside the SUV suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

All of the victims who were involved in the accident were taken to an area hospital for treatment. The Phoenix Police Department have not revealed their identities, and the victims’ current conditions have not been released to the public.

The cause of the accident is still currently under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
