Harriet Tubman to Join President Andrew Jackson on the $20 Bill

Tubman, an African American woman, escaped slave, and creator of the Underground Railroad will be the new face of the $20 bill… well.. kind of!

As of right now, President Jackson will remain on the $20 and Tubman will join him on the reverse side of the bill.

In addition, there will be changes made to the $5 and $10 bill.

According to Markplace.org, “The Treasury will reveal the redesigned bills put into production by 2020, to mark the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment which legalized voting for women.”

The designs are being updated to emphasize important historical events.
