Auto Accidents Caused by Friends

Q: I was in an accident and my friend was at fault. How can I get compensated but not hurt my friend in the process?

If you’re in an accident that was caused by a family member or friend, you can still be fully compensated.

Our attorneys will make a claim with their auto insurance- not against your friend, personally.

Your friend’s insurance policy protects him or her from having financial hardship when an accident happens.

In fact, they pay a monthly premium (just like you do) to protect them and their personal finances in case they do a cause an accident.

Many people tend to get scared to tell their auto insurance about an accident if they caused it, but guess what? That’s what insurance is for!

Remember, suing someone and opening a claim with their auto insurance company is entirely different.
